With his extensive background of more than 20 years in leadership roles across the healthcare sector, Mr. Majd Abu Zant brings a wealth of international experience to UEMedical’s network of hospitals and clinics in his role as the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Abu Zant also served as the Chief Executive of the HealthPlus Network of Specialty Centers (part of UEMedical), and the Chief Operating Officer of UEMedical since its inception in 2008 and until 2020. He has been the driving force behind numerous successful projects and collaborations with leading international healthcare providers, creating strong partnerships and establishing world-class facilities across the region including Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children, HealthPlus Network of Specialty Centers, HealthPlus Fertility and Moorfields Eye Hospital Abu Dhabi, as well as other projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In his current role at UEMedical, Mr. Abu Zant oversees and drives the organization’s overall strategy and regional expansions. Mr. Abu Zant is also a Global Mentor and Board Director in the Canadian Business Council in Abu Dhabi, and serves on a number of committees supporting the development of the healthcare sector and the digital health eco-system throughout the region.
Prior to joining UEMedical, Mr. Abu Zant was Deputy Chief Operating Officer at King Hussain Cancer Center, one of the most prominent cancer institutions in the region.
Mr. Abu Zant holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (RCSI) and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University, Canada.
