Dr. Irfan Aslam is currently the Director of IVF Lab at HealthPlus Fertility Center. Dr. Aslam is a fully trained embryologist from the UK and has 30 years of experience in clinical embryology including more than 20 years’ experience of working as Senior Embryologist/ Lab Manager and Scientific Director at the CARE fertility Northampton (UK), London Women's Clinic Swansea (UK), Samir Abbas Medical Centre, Jeddah, Military Hospital Riyadh (KSA) and at HealthPlus IVF clinic, Abu Dhabi. He is licensed by the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA), UK for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and embryo biopsy for PGD. Dr Aslam gained his Bachelor degree in Medicine (MBBS) from Zakariya University Multan; Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Karachi, Pakistan; and PhD from School of Human Development, University of Nottingham, UK. Some of the previous positions held by him were at CARE (Centers for Assisted Reproduction) Nottingham, UK; The Three Shires Hospital, Northampton, UK; and an honorary attachment as Clinical Research Fellow at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Sheffield, UK. The results of his research in the field of reproductive biology and infertility have been published in international Journals including “Human Reproduction”. He has also presented research papers in various national and international conferences including European Society of Human Reproduction (ESHRE) and Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS).
